we came up with bum literally just a few weeks after the birth of our baby girl Mason we brought her home after this incredible journey surgy journey and we were trying to find daycare trying to find doctors for her and one of the questions we constantly had was are there any other queer parents uh or children with queer parents and something that we realized really early on was that Mason was going to have to explain um be the kid in her class to constantly explain that no there are two daddy households or two mommy households and we kept thinking to ourselves that shouldn’t be a burden that that she needs to be bearing and certainly not bearing alone and we kept asking ourselves how can we help create more queer families and the thing that we kept coming back to that was blocking this this this vision for us was it’s just really expensive uh IVF surrogacy adoption all of them are incredibly EXP expensive and so we kept thinking to ourselves how can we solve this challenge that if we don’t get ahead of this that family building for the queer Community is really just going to be about like [Music] money what’s been really wonderful is the reception has been incredibly po positive yes our products and such were started to take root within the lgbtq plus Community but in order to achieve the scale in order to Impact Family building in the way that we aim to our products extend out to the Ali community and we have just as much reach and like trying to get reach into the Ali Community as well because who doesn’t want to support family [Music] building bum is not just about advancing forward family and family values for lgbtq plus individuals it’s also about breaking down our own social stigmas and the stigmas that even exist within the gay community really just trying to break everything down and be like this is normal this is okay the thing that keeps us grounded about this brand and so excited is thinking about in 10 15 years just sitting around and hearing the stories of families that you know we had a little part and potentially helping to create we’re not just selling a product we’re not just like putting our brand out there we’re trying to create a movement
