coach Steve sper sitting in at a women’s soccer game he’s up on the second tier and he’s Faithfully there hi I’m football coach Steve sper hi there I’m Steve sper I was the football coach here from 1990 uh through 2001 when Becky Burley got here we made an effort I know to go to several of her games coach buer was so team Florida the first year we shared a practice field with football I remember one day our punters they get out there early and they’re pting around and so fourth and I asked a couple of soccer players come on over here and show them how to really kick this thing he said coach Becky get those goalkeepers come over here he handed them a football and he asked them to punt the football and of course the goalkeepers they could hold it like a punter and take their stamps and boom it away and he’s got his kicker standing right next to him and he’s like well that’s about as good as what we got right here and so it was just such a unique environment to be in
