Matt Gates Trump’s pick to be the next Attorney General has just announced that he is withdrawing his nomination this comes after a week of scrutiny on Capitol Hill into pass allegations that Gates had engaged in sexual misconduct with an underage girl as well as engaged in illicit drug use the house Ethics Committee had been investigating these allegations for the past several years but this week they were deadlocked between Democrats and Republicans on whether or not to release the investigation meanwhile the Senate Judiciary Committee which would be vetting Gates had said that they would do a thorough job of looking into those allegations possibly trying to get the information that was in that house ethics report and really making sure that he is qualified to be the next Attorney General
