I’m jacn Mar and I’m a Staff photographer of the Associated Press I’m usually based in Washington DC but the last 3 weeks I’ve been at my new office beautiful Mars France covering the Olympic sailing sailing is super challenging so what I’m holding right here is an underwater camera housing it’s got the regular trigger at the top but I’ve been holding it underwater using this stick here so I actually can’t see what I’m doing I’ve been calling it a reverse Hail Mary where I hold the camera down under the water pray and hold this trigger one of the things a lot of people ask me is when I’m covering Olympic sailing do I get sick on the water there was really only one day that was a little suspect there were like 10 feet waves it was crazy but I was honestly more worried that I was going to fall off the boat I use this harness system and so I kind of like I have my cameras clipped in they can’t go anywhere without me I definitely got a few bruises that day and the other days but it’s all worth it to be out here covering Olympic sailing for the AP having a great time and I wouldn’t have it any other way
