New York police have arrested a man in relation to the death of a woman who was set on fire inside a subway train early Sunday morning he’s facing murder and arson charges police said surveillance video showed Sebastian Zaba calmly approach a woman who has yet to be identified on a stationary F train at a station in Brooklyn he then set her on fire zapa then sat on a nearby bench outside the train car and watched officers and a Transit worker extinguish the Flames immigration officials say that zaper is a Guatemalan citizen who entered the US illegally after he had been previously deported to Guatemala in 2018 New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tish described the incident as one of the most quote depraved crimes one person could possibly commit against another human being overall crime such as major felonies is down in the city’s transit system this year compared to the same time period in 2023 but murders in the transit system are up with nine killings this year through November
