there were days uh when I thought man you got to be crazy to do this and want this and stick it out um you know I had always heard that Nashville was a 10year town and I believe things a man ought to know went number one like 10 years in a day after being there and um I should have had moments where I I I should have packed it up and went home I should have went back to Louisiana but I never had those feelings um I think there’s something something really beautiful about about being naive and um since I was a little girl I’ve always had stars in my eyes and I’ve always known that uh this is what I wanted to do I wanted to tell stories I wanted to make people feel something I wanted to feel the way that music has made me feel and um yeah it’s uh I feel like when you’re giv a gift you got to share it
