video
play-rounded-fill

so much of the history World War II history like I thought I knew World War II really really well because I studied so much of it in high school and college and then in doing research for Pachinko and talking to the historians what I realized is I learned the US’s perspective right because I went to school in the US and all of a sudden I had to shift that point of view because our characters lived in Japan at the time and it was really just not just fascinating but crucial to hear and learn that history from the point of view of the people on the ground um I think like Nagasaki like what was it like for the people on the ground you know that day of the bombing it was really sobering
