tonight I was on the US athlete boat for the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris there were a few hundred athletes on the US boat including LeBron James Koko goof krie Richardson Noah ly Steph Curry and it was a great atmosphere and they were very very excited the rain put a damper on things quite a bit as you can see I’m still soaking wet as were all of the athletes they gave them ponchos but most of their Ralph Lauren outfits were completely soaked but that didn’t stop him from cheering as they came into the uh troo and passed the Eiffel Tower when I got this assignment um I had to read the email twice cuz I couldn’t believe it it is it’s one of those assignments as a sports photographer and a photojournalist that you just never think that you’re going to get it’s just a real honor to be able to do something like this
