Singapore is known as a financial hub for the rich family offices and Global investment firms but things aren’t as rosy for its stock market which is suffering from poor valuations teit liquidity and lack of new listings the Singapore exchange this year has only had one IPO so far and it’s having trouble getting more companies to list locally meanwhile burses in neighboring Indonesia and Malaysia are enjoying a boom in new listings in fact the listings from the Singapore exchange have outnumbered IPOs in the past decade many companies listed on the SJ have chosen to go private while Tech unicorns have gone to either New York or Hong Kong to list to get higher valuations the Singapore government is trying to fix the stock market Problem by setting up a high level task force comprising key industry players Reviving Singapore stock market needs a concerted effort from different stakeholders which could be a challenge
