I know she was looking forward to it so I thought why not every year for Harper dance studio they do a fatherdaughter dance at their big summer performance and we knew that my ex-husband couldn’t attend he travels a lot for work she was Bumm she looks forward to these things but the Dance Studio owner had approached me and said because they know she has an older brother that if he would be willing to that if she still wanted to do it that her brother could step in and do it with her and so I asked him and he was like yeah I I kind of expected a little more hesitation but he was willing he went with it it’s just always been such a sweet bond that they have especially being so far apart in age she’ll be seven and I just thought this would be great for me to get closer with her especially considering the fact that this is something she was looking forward to it was a Barbie and kin theme so she wanted to be tennis Barbie and kin and he like just rolled with it and was like no hesitation with the pink and the girly stuff he just rolled with it it wasn’t too difficult to memorize all the dance moves and probably working on timing was the biggest difficulty but I think it was all worth it I was a bit nervous going on stage as I am performing of a bunch of people that I personally know from school and I just remember that I’m doing this for my little sister and I just felt super proud being able to do this and so I go on up on that stage I’m leaving all my own thoughts behind and I’m just performing with her it was just so sweet to see them I think like by the end of it when he lifted her up I was just like oh it just totally wrecked my heart in the best way I don’t know if he realized what an impact like that is to like show up for her but that is something she’ll hold on to Forever once it was done I just felt proud of her as well she felt proud of herself and it was just something very nice to see I just feel great I feel like I did something positive I felt like she will remember that for a long time and that’s really what I wanted to do
