How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Laptop

play-rounded-fill

Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today we’re going to look at how you can transfer photos and videos from your iPhone to your laptop or your desktop PC. It turns out it’s really easy, so let’s check this out. First off, you’ll need to plug your iPhone into your computer. Here I’ve plugged it in. As soon as you do that, you’ll see a notification asking if you’d like to allow this device to access photos and videos. Click on allow. Once you do that, you’ll also need to enter in your device password. Now that your iPhone is connected to your computer, let’s go down to the taskbar on the bottom and click on the start menu. Right up on top, let’s search for the Photos app. This app comes pre-installed with Windows. Right here, let’s click on the app. This now opens up the Photos app. In the top right-hand corner, let’s click on the button that says import. And right here, you can see all of the different connected devices to your laptop or your PC. Down at the very bottom, we see the iPhone that we just connected. Let’s click on this. This will now load up all of the different video files and photo files on your phone. Right up on top, you can select all of your files, or you could go through individually and choose videos and also photos. Over here, I’ll select this video file and this video file, and in the top right, I’ll click on add two items. Next, you need to choose where you want to place these files from your iPhone. I have an existing folder called iPhone, so I’ll select that, but you can also create a new folder. Down at the very bottom, click on import. And right here, we see that it’s now successfully imported these two items. Let’s click into the folder. I can now click into the folder, and I can see both of these files on my computer. As an aside, you can also view all of your iCloud photos directly within the Photos app and then you can save them directly to your PC. So that way, you don’t have to hardwire your phone to your PC. Simply click on iCloud Photos and then you’ll need to install something called iCloud for Windows. Simply click here and then you could run through the process, and you’ll get all of those photos and videos directly here in the Photos app. All right, and there you have it.
