How to Make AI Video | ChatGPT + invideo

video
play-rounded-fill

We’re going to look at how you can make an AI video using ChatGPT together with invideo. You simply type in your prompt and then it’ll generate a script. It’ll find matching stock footage and it’ll even voice over the video. You can even chat with the AI to refine your video. And all of this takes just a few minutes. Let’s check out how you can do this. To make your very own AI video, head to the following website. You can click on a link down below in the description. Once you land on this website, in the top right-hand corner, click on login. To be able to create an AI video through ChatGPT, you’ll need a premium ChatGPT account and that costs some money. However, you can also do this for free. To use this entirely for free, head to the website down below. The entry point’s slightly different, however, you still will be able to get the same exact output. Once you finish signing in or signing up into ChatGPT, you’ll land on an interface that looks like this, and it probably looks familiar to most of you. You have your typical chat interface where you can talk with the AI. With a premium account, you get some additional functionality. Over on the left-hand side, you’ll see an option to explore GPTs. Let’s click on that. This now drops us on the explore GPTs page, and this is where individuals or companies can use the power of ChatGPT, but then build custom solutions. And in fact, you could build your very own GPT too. In the top right-hand corner, you could simply click on the create button and you can make your own. Now, if we scroll down a little bit, you’ll see some examples of what some companies have done. Here, for example, you have Canva and they’ve leveraged the power of ChatGPT to allow you to create things like presentations or logos. If I scroll down a little bit more, here you have the option to take a photo of yourself and then turn it into a cartoon image. That’s a really fun one. Definitely worth checking out. And if I scroll down a little bit more, there’s also something called the data analyst. This is where you can drag and drop a file into ChatGPT and then it’ll analyze it and also visualize your data. So, you have lots and lots of different options here. It’s well worth exploring. Today, we want to use the power of ChatGPT to help make a video. And there’s a custom GPT called invideo. So right here in the search, I’ll type in invideo, and here, the first option is video maker by invideo. Let’s click on that one. I partnered with invideo to show you how this works. And at first glance, this looks just like the typical ChatGPT prompt. However, this is now paired together with invideo and anything that you type into the prompt will help generate an AI video. Right up above, you see some sample prompts that’ll help you get started, and that way you can interface with the AI to get your perfect video. Or down below, you can simply type in exactly what you want. Now, I really think it’d be nice to have a 30 second video that shows people how to make chocolate chip cookies. This could be a good addition to the kevincookicompany.com website. Of course, right down here, the more description that you can add, the better. For example, are you making a TikTok? If so, that’ll help the AI know that you want a vertical video. Or maybe you want a certain voice narrating your video. You could describe all that right down here. But for now, I think this is good enough to get started with, so over on the right-hand side, I’ll click on this button to send the message to the AI. Right over here, ChatGPT needs permission to talk to invideo. I’ll click on confirm. And here it looks like it’s now generated my video. So right down below, I’ll click on this to see what this video looks like. This now drops us into invideo, and if you don’t yet have an account, first you’ll need to set one up. But that’s entirely free to do. Once you finish signing in, you’ll land on this page and you’ll see a preview of your video. Right down in the bottom left-hand corner, let’s take a look at how it turned out. A world where chocolate chip cookies are the star. Start with half a cup of softened butter, then mix in a quarter cup each of white and brown sugar. Crack open one egg, blend in a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Now ready for the dry ingredients. One and a half cups of flour, half a teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt. Stir until it forms a soft dough, then fold in a cup full of chocolate chips. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Crispy edges, soft centers, and a flavor that’s out of this world. Remember, the secret is in the sugar blend and the baking time. Happy baking. Overall, that looked pretty decent as a first draft. Of course, there are a few tweaks that I would need to make. For example, there was one shot in the video of cookies that were not chocolate chip cookies. Now, if for whatever reason you’re completely unhappy with what the AI generated, down in the bottom left-hand corner, you could just completely regenerate. Don’t worry, you won’t hurt the AI’s feelings. Up on top, you can also click on this plus icon, and here you can modify different settings. Let’s say you want to adjust the audience, look and feel, or the platform. That’ll also change the way the video turned out. And if you want even more control, maybe you’re regenerating and you’re still not getting what you’re looking for, here you can edit the prompt, and this will show you the original prompt that the AI used to make this video. This will give you the most control over the output. Now, I didn’t provide too much, so I’m actually pretty pleased with what the output looks like. Of course, I do want to make some tweaks. Right up here, I’ll close out of this view. You might be thinking that the AI’s work is now all done, and if we need to make any edits, we’ll have to go in and manually do it. But it actually turns out you can continue working with the AI to refine your video. Right down below, there’s a text field that says give me a command to edit the video. You can type in a command here, and then the AI will go in and it’ll make modifications to the video. For example, I thought the music was maybe a little bit drab for a cookie company. I want it to be more upbeat and also fun. So over here, I could type in a command, make the music happy and fun. And then over here, I’ll click on generate. Let’s now preview how that turned out. World where chocolate chip cookies are the star. Start with half a– Okay, I think that sounds a little bit more fun and also upbeat, but I don’t know if I like the guy’s voice. So right down here, let’s try changing the voice to maybe an energetic female. And let’s click on generate again. Let’s now preview how this turned out. Welcome to a world where chocolate chip cookies are the star. I like that voice so much better. If for whatever reason you’re unhappy with the change that the AI made, right over here, you could undo the change and go back to what you had, or you could also redo the change. So, you have that option. Now there was that one shot here in the video of these cookies. And again, those are not chocolate chip cookies. I could ask the AI to try to change that, or what’s nice too is I also have manual control. Right over here, let’s click on this edit button. This now drops us into the edit screen. And right up on top, I’m currently on the edit media view. Right up on top, I can see all the different media that makes up this video project. And when I click on any of the media, you’ll also see the associated text highlighted down below. Here’s this one clip that I want to swap out for maybe chocolate chips. Here, when I click on this, I see the associated text. And here it’s referring to a cup full of chocolate chips. Right down below, I can upload my own media. Maybe I have some footage on my computer of chocolate chips, but unfortunately, I don’t. So over here, I can also search for stock footage. Right in here, let’s type in chocolate chips and let’s see what it comes back with. I can now see all the different stock media down below. Here, there are some photos of chocolate chips. Here, I also have pictures of chocolate chip cookies. And there are so many different options to look through. But when I come down right about here, I see a video of someone folding in chocolate chips into a cookie. I think that’s exactly what I need, so I’ll click on that. And if I go all the way up to the top, you’ll see that it’s now inserted it on top of the previous image. It looks like it even has a mix of white chocolate chips and also dark chocolate chips. I like that touch. Right down below, I’ll click on apply changes. Now, if we go back to that 25 second mark in the video and I play it. – Then fold in a cup full of chocolate chips. – You’ll see that it’s now updated the video. That looks so much better. Along with swapping out the media, you also have full control over the script. Let’s once again click on the edit icon, and previously, we looked at the edit media screen, but over here to the right, you can also edit the script. When I click on that, you can see all of the text that makes up your video, so you could go through and you can modify any of this text. You can also include additional text. In the top right-hand corner, let’s click on the ellipsis. And here you can add a chapter before or even add a chapter after. I’ll add a chapter after. When I scroll all the way to the bottom here, I now have an additional chapter and I could type in some text, like to learn even more, be sure to visit our website. Now right over here, I’ll click on this icon and I can now type in keywords to help the AI get the proper media. I think these keywords will work well, so I’ll click out of that, and at the very bottom, let’s click on apply changes. Right up on top in the preview window, I can now see that it added an additional chapter. So let me go right to the beginning of the chapter and let’s see what that addition looks like. – To learn even more delicious recipes like this one, be sure to visit us at the kevincookicompany.com. – Ooh, I love those cookies dipping into the milk. That looks perfect. I think this is just about perfect now. Over on the right-hand side, let’s click on the export icon and then click on export video. This now drops us on the export screen. Down at the very bottom, you can choose your export resolution or the quality of the video. With a free account, you can export your video, but it’ll include watermarks on top of the stock footage as well as in-video AI branding. To license the stock footage and to use it commercially, or maybe you just don’t want to include any watermarks. Over here, you can choose this to remove them. However, to do that, you will have to upgrade to a paid plan and they start at $20 per month. For now, I’ll stick with the stock watermarks and also go with the branding. Down below, I’ll click on continue. And check that out. My video project is now all done. And again, to remove the watermark and also this branding, you can go with a premium account and that’ll remove all of it. Right down here, you could download your video or you could share it with others. Now, one thing to note, you can also download an invideo iOS app. That way you could continue working on your video on the go and it has the exact same interface, so if you know how to use it on the web now, you’ll also be able to use it on your phone. All right, well, all you need now is a well-written prompt and you can pull together a beautiful looking video.
