Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today, we’re going to look at the ultimate PDF editing app, Wondershare’s PDFelements 10. With it, you can edit PDFs, you can convert your PDF to different file formats like Microsoft Word, and you could even use the magic of AI to summarize your entire PDF. Those are just a few of the features that we’re going to look at. Basically, if you end up doing any work with PDFs, this app is a must have. Let’s check this out. To get PDFelement 10, head to the following website. You can click on the card in the top right-hand corner, or also the link down below in the description. Once you land on this website, click on the button that says free download, and that’ll kick off the download process. Thanks to Wondershare for sponsoring this video, you’ll be able to try out the software to test out all the different capabilities. If you end up working with PDFs often, you’ll also want to consider some of the paid plans that unlock all of the advanced functionality. Once you finish installing PDFelement 10, you’ll see an interface that looks like this. At the very top, you have a set of tools that help you very quickly start working on PDFs. Down at the bottom, you’ll see all of your recent files. Now I have a PDF contract that I need to start working on. I’ll click on this icon and here’s the PDF file. I’ll simply drag and drop this into PDFelement 10, and this opens up my PDF. Looking at this PDF document, it’s going to need a little bit of work. Up at the top, this isn’t our official logo. And here, if I scroll down a little bit, you’ll see the contract text. This is an image of the text. It’s not the actual text. Luckily, I can edit this PDF just like a Word document. Up on top on the home tab, I have some of the most common tools that I need to work with PDFs. Right over here, I have the option to edit all the different elements on this PDF. I’ll click on this. I can also click on this dropdown if I just want to target specific elements within this document. Now that I’ve selected that, you’ll see that these different elements have highlighted. I could select this title here and I’m going to delete that. I’ll hit the delete key. I’ll also select the cookie and I’ll press delete. Over on my desktop, I have the official logo. I could simply drag and drop that and then add as an image to my PDF. And here we now see the official logo included on this PDF. I could reposition it and I could also resize the logo. Now I want it to be centered on the page. With this image selected, over on the right-hand side, I’ll click on properties and right down here under actions, I can center this on the page horizontally. That looks perfect. Along with being able to edit images, I can also make tweaks to the text. Here, when I click into this text field, I noticed that oatmeal raisin is misspelled. It has an I instead of an O and it looks like PDFelement has detected that. I get that red squiggle underline. I could right click on this word and let’s insert raisin. That looks better. Here at the very end, I say, get ready for an amazing return. Now we are a cookie company, so I think it would be more fitting to say, get ready for a sweet return. If I scroll down the PDF just a little bit, here we have a signature line and it says, signing your name here legally binds you to make an investment. Now, a lot of people miss that it’s binding. So, I want to make sure this stands out. Back up on the home tab, I also have a highlighter tool. I also like this and let’s go with a yellow highlight. Here, I can highlight all the text and that way it’ll really stand out. Now, no one can claim that they miss this text because it stands out so much. Up at the very top, I have additional tabs. I could click into the edit tab and I have all sorts of different tools. I could add additional text to the document. I could add images, a link, a watermark, a background, a header footer, and I have even more options here. I want to make sure that no one misses signing this field. Up on top, I’ll click into comment and here I have all of these different commenting tools that I can use. Over here, there’s a tool called the stamp tool. I’ll click on that and there’s the option for sign here. And I could place these different stamps on my page. I’ll select the one that says sign here and I’ll place it right here. I don’t think anyone will miss this now. This contract is starting to come together. However, if I scroll down to the second page, here I have that image of the contract instead of the text itself. I’ll go back up to the home tab up on top and right here in the center, there’s an option called OCR. This stands for optical character recognition. So, what does that mean? Basically, the computer will look at this text and understand what the text is so I can edit it. I need to save the file first, so I’ll click on save. This now opens up a dialogue where I can configure some of the different options. I want to be able to edit the text, so I’ll select this option. I just want to convert page two, so I’ll make sure to go with the current page and English looks good. Down below, I’ll click on apply. It’s now going through and processing this page and extracting all of the text. And look at this. It’s extracted all of the text from the image and I can click into the text and I can edit any of it. This makes it so much easier. I could select the image in the background and I’ll delete that, so I’m just left with the text. I’ll select the text and I can now move it around and let’s position it right at about there. That looks really good. It looks a lot better than before. Looking at this, I think it would be a really good idea to also include a summary or a conclusion for all of this text, just to really seal the deal. Now I could write my own conclusion, but that’ll probably take a little bit of time. Instead, I could rely on the AI copilot that’s now built directly into PDFelement. Over on the right-hand side, I’ll click on this AI sidebar icon, and this opens up a pane over on the side. At the very bottom, I have the option to summarize the entire PDF. This is something that’ll be very useful, especially as I review so many different PDFs. Here you can summarize, you could rewrite, you could also have it proofread, and if you click on the ellipsis, you have all sorts of other options. Now I want it to write a conclusion for all of this text. So, I want it to look specifically at this PDF. I’ll make sure to check this box and here it says, ask me anything. Well, you said anything, so can you write a conclusion that is no longer than three sentences about why investing in the Kevin Cookie Company is a good idea. To have the AI start working on this, I’ll click on this icon. And check that out. It’s now given me a very nice summary for why investing in the Kevin cookie company is a good idea. This looks really solid. I can now highlight all of this text and I’ll copy it. Over on the edit tab, here I can click on add text and let me add this text to my document. I’ll simply paste the text in and then over on the right-hand side, I can adjust the font and the size, so it fits in with the rest of the text. And just like that, it now matches the rest of my document perfectly. That looks really good. When I scroll down my PDF, at the very end, I have an extra page. Also, one thing I don’t like is I include reasons for why to invest after you’re supposed to sign the agreement. Ideally that text would come first. Luckily, it’s very easy to reorganize my PDF. Up on top, I’ll click on the organized tab and here I have that blank page. I’ll select that and here I can delete that. Also, I want the why invest to appear first. I can simply press and hold on it and I’ll move it to the first position. Not only can I move pages around or delete pages, here I can also pull pages out. I could split PDFs. I can also insert additional pages and here I have a few more controls. So, I could really get the PDF document to look exactly how I want it to look. Now that the PDF is coming together, I need to get it ready to share with the client and they requested that I share it as a Word document. Up on top, I’ll click on convert and here I can convert this PDF into all sorts of other formats and here’s Microsoft Word. Now, also, when I go over to the right-hand side, I also get these quick actions and here too, I can also convert this PDF into any one of these file formats. I’ll click on Word and let’s save it first. And right here, I can now output it as a Word document. I’ll click on okay. And just like that, I now have a Word document of this PDF. That is so easy. The PDF looks all good now. And I’m at this stage now where I want to start collecting signatures and luckily, it’s really easy to do that. Up on the top tabs, let’s go all the way over to the right-hand side and click on the option that says protect. I have several different options, but I want to request an e-signature. I’ll sellect this item and this now opens up a prompt. Here, I can see that we’re using this file that I’ve been working on. I can enter in different recipients. I’ll enter in Nestor. I need him to sign this. Down here, I can also type in a message, but I’ll stick with the default and here I have some additional settings. I can even send reminders if Nestor doesn’t sign the document right away, but I’ll stick with the defaults and then down below, I’ll click on next. On this next screen, I need to drag and drop the signature fields for recipients. Here I’ll click on get it and let’s scroll down to where the signature field is and it’s right here. I’ll place this there, and right over here, I can now click on send. And look at that. It’s now successfully been sent out for signature. I’ll go to the agreement list. I can now track who has signed this agreement. I’ll click into this one and let’s see if anyone signed it yet. This now drops me into my PDF document. And if I scroll down just a little bit, there, I can see that Nestor has signed the document and I also see a timestamp for when he signed it. Over on the right-hand side, I can see all the different properties and when it was viewed and also when it was signed, that makes it so much easier. All right. Well, that was a quick look at how simple and intuitive it is to work with PDFs using PDFelement 10. Again, to get this software and download it for free, be sure to use the link in the description.
