we’re standing in one of Mexico City’s Utopias these are community centers that were constructed under the administration of Cl who was at the time the head of this area called eala and who has the plan to bring these kinds of community centers to the rest of the city these are areas where you can go for free and receive both medical attention and do your laundry and receive uh some lunch for about half a dollar with an initial investment of about $5 million they cost about $500,000 a year to maintain and so far they’ve serviced about 20,000 people in the city every day the idea is that it’s a place both for the elderly and for people with young kids who can go to the playground or who can attend to their aches and pains or who could simply do laundry and get some food in the middle of the day there are also classes a tennis area a Golf Center and all kinds of places for kids to play
