[Music] I’m an Iceland’s ASU volcano one of the country’s active and dangerous volcanoes it’s been in a state of arrest since 2021 and scientists are afraid it could erupt any day [Music] now this is a site of a massive eruption here at ASE volcano that occurred at the end of the last ice age when the Region’s melting ice and disappearing glaciers kicked off a huge spike in volcanic activity now with climate change melting what’s left of the ice scientists are afraid it could happen again and it’s not just Iceland it’s anywhere in the world where glaciers and volcanoes intermix from the Andes to [Music] Antarctica as the weight of that ice disappears it creates a pressure change in the earth which leads to more rocks melting to magma more magma being created and moving closer to the surface through different Pathways which all in all leads to an optic and volcanic activity
