I’m here with Trevor Honeycut one of our White House Correspondents uh we’re at the Democratic National Convention you’ve had recent reporting uh showing that Obama is really one of the Heavy Hitters and he uh you know he chimes in in times of chaos for the Democratic party what sort of message does having Obama here tonight uh bring to the Democratic party are Democrats in more stable States well you know it’s a really validating role so President Obama is going to come in here as one of the most popular figures still in the Democratic party today along with his wife Michelle Obama more popular than the current Administration the Biden Harris Administration and also just more well known as a public figure as a celebrity right and now there’s kind of this whole process of trying to introduce K haris to the American people and so he comes in as a validator somebody who lend the country for eight years um to to say she’s ready to do this job she’s ready to be the first uh woman president of this country
