Breathtaking underwater sea life footage 🐋 #NatGeo #shorts 😇

video
play-rounded-fill

the first time I encountered a humpback
whale I held my breath I froze as the
mum in the calf came up to the water
surface to breathe the scene was magical
because I realized we had the same
evolutionary trait we both learned to
survive underwater by conserving oxygen
I’m Michaela Cobra Nova and I’m an
underwater photographer you don’t have
to be diver to have these amazing
experiences many animals that I
photograph underwater also breathe air
animals such as seals seabirds dolphins
and turtles this allows me to document
them just below the surface of the water
using snorkeling or free diving
techniques free diving and utilizing
streamlined underwater equipment also
gives me the freedom to move with the
animal to mimic its energy and movement
it provides me with this beautiful
weightless agility we can only really
experience underwater
