play-rounded-fill

Abba has asked Donald Trump to stop using their music at campaign rallies but can they stop their music from being played well in this instance the former president’s campaign says it has permission according to a trump campaign spokesperson they had a license to play Abba through agreements with BMI and ASCAP two performing rights organizations now ABBA is not the first artist to ask Trump to stop using their music Selen Dion has asked him to stop using my heart will go on and Beyonce blocked Trump from using her song Freedom in a campaign video in 2016 Adele asked Trump to quit playing her songs at political rallies now just so we clear campaigns don’t need an artist permission to play their songs at rallies as long as they have a blanket license from a group like BMI or ASCAP artists can have music pulled from a license if they object to its use but not every campaign honors those requests in short artists can try to stop a campaign from using their music however artists rarely have full control over how their songs are played
