Exploring the Fissures of the Winthrop Glacier: A Journey to the Crevasses of Mt. Rainier

Located in the heart of the Cascade Range, Mt. On a sunny summer day in July 2024, a team of explorers ventured onto the Winthrop Glacier, eager to behold the breathtaking vistas and intricate ice formations that lie within. As we ascended the glacier, the air grew cooler and the silence was broken only by the crunch of crampons on the frozen surface. The landscape unfolded before us like a canvas of white and blue, with towering seracs and serpentine crevasses stretching as far as the eye could see.
