In this video, we’ll look at how you could connect your laptop to a TV using a wired and wireless option. Let’s dive in. We’ll start by looking at how to connect your laptop to a TV using an HDMI cable. This is the simplest and also the most reliable way to connect. First, find the HDMI port on your laptop and on your TV. If your laptop only has a USB-C port, which is common on newer laptops like some ultra books, you can buy a USB-C to HDMI adapter. I’ve included a link in the description. Next, plug the HDMI cable into your laptop and the TV HDMI port. Now, remember the port that you plug into the TV. Mine says HDMI 2. We’ll need that in a moment. Next, on your remote, there should be a button that says, "Input or Source." Press this button. On your TV, select the HDMI port that you just plugged the HDMI cable into. In my case, it was HDMI 2. And you should see the laptop image on your TV now. We’re making good progress. On Windows, press the Windows key together with P. P stands for project, and then choose whether you want to duplicate your screen or you could extend it, or you could even just show it on your TV screen. Next, we’ll look at how you can connect your laptop wirelessly to your TV. First, you’ll need to make sure that your TV supports something called Miracast. Most newer TVs support this. If not, you can buy a Miracast adapter. Link in the description. On your Windows laptop, press the Windows key together with K. K for cast, and you should see your TV as an option. If you don’t see your TV, you may need to press Source or Input on your remote, and then select Screen Mirroring. Select your TV, and then it’ll cast to the TV. If you press Windows K again, you can choose whether you want to duplicate your screen or extend your screen to the TV. All right, there you go. Feel free to request more
