How to Edit PDF File in Mobile | FREE and Easy

video
play-rounded-fill

Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can edit a PDF in mobile, so either Android or iPhone. Here I have a PDF document and I want to edit some text and then I also want to sign my name. It turns out that it’s surprisingly easy to do and best of all it’s completely free. Let’s check this out. To pull this off, we’re going to use an app called Microsoft Office. This app has some fantastic PDF capabilities. To get the app, head to the Play Store or the App Store and then search for Microsoft Office and then click on install. Once you finish installing the Office App, you’ll land in an interface that looks like this. Now we want to edit a PDF file. In the bottom right-hand corner, let’s click on this button that says actions and right up above you’ll see all of the different actions you can take with PDF files. To edit a PDF file, we’re going to take the PDF and convert it to Word, and then we can make all of our different edits, and then we can export it again as a PDF file. Let’s click on this option right here. Next, it’ll ask us to select the file. You can click on browse and then navigate to where the file is on your phone. Here I’ll select this file at the top: Agreement to Invest in the Kevin Cookie Company. Here we can see that it’s currently converting the file into a Word document. This has now converted the PDF into a Word document and currently I’m in the document layout view. Here I can see what the overall file looks like, and it looks like it maintained all of the formatting. To make it a little bit easier to read, I can click on this mobile icon up above and that’ll shift it into the mobile view. So here I can see everything a lot better, and I can now edit this just like a Word document. Right down below, I can click my cursor and I want to enter how much money I want to invest in the Kevin Cookie Company. Here I’ll delete the placeholder text, and this seems like a really good investment opportunity, so maybe I should invest $5 million. Once again, I could just type that in, and I can edit any of the text in this file. Now, right now this is a Word document and if I want to make it a PDF again, in the top right-hand corner, I can click on the ellipsis and right here there’s the option to export this file. I can click here and then I can export as a PDF. I’ll select that, and then I can choose where I want to save this file on my phone. I’ll save it here and then click on export in the top right-hand corner. It’s now converting my file back into a PDF. Back on the main screen of the Office App, let’s say now I want to sign this file to make it official. Here, once again, let’s click on actions in the bottom right-hand corner, and this time, let’s click on sign a PDF. Here I see the recent PDF that I just saved. I’ll select that. And here it now opened the PDF. Here it asks me to tap where I wish to sign. I want to sign right on this signature line. I’ll tap right down here, and here I can use an existing signature, or if I click on this trash can, I can also enter in a new signature. I’ll do that. With my new signature now entered, it’s now inserted it into my document. I can click on the signature and then I could drag it to a new position, and here I can use these handles to reduce or expand the size of my signature. I’ll make it a little smaller, position it right down there and this now looks good. In the top left-hand corner, I can now click on this check mark, and this will save my PDF with my signature. Down in the bottom right-hand corner, if I now want to share this PDF with others, I can simply click on this share button and then select who I want to share it with. All right, well that’s how you can edit a PDF in mobile. If you would prefer to edit a PDF, say on your PC, you can do that as well. Check out the card right up above and that’ll show you step-by-step how you can do it. To watch more videos like this one, please consider subscribing and I’ll see you in the next video.
