[Music] this was a gamechanging year season for not just women’s basketball but women’s sports overall to be able to witness South Carolina win a championship after going undefeated to have the Battle of Sensational Superstar players Angel ree Caitlyn Clark this was literally what dreams were made of for me as a Hooper to be able to see us really explode in the mainstream we ain’t looking back period it’s Caitlyn Clark here in Los Angeles I went with my little sister and I love going to games with Kendra even though she steals my clothes but that’s not the point we were sitting Courtside for that game and we got to see Caitlyn Clark win her first ever wmba game and the arena was electric it was a sellout crowd they had to move it to this crypto.com Arena it was awesome great events of the Olympics this year the gold medal game between the USA Women and France coming all the way down to the last second the women hadn’t lost in 30 years the FRS were trying to pull off their own Miracle on Ice it came right down to the end the US wins by one in an intense game to hold on to the goal that they almost never lose we never forget being in that arena for that game in Paris on the last event of the Olympics my two favorite moments in women’s sports this year would have to be our two Women’s Basketball Championships the national championship game Caitlyn Clark setting a record with 18 first quarter points but then South Carolina coming back to win their third National Championship complete an undefeated season and then that epic WNBA finals a five game series of Mastery between the liberty and the links so so many moments to choose from it’s hard to pick just one but if I had to I would say the Women’s National team winning their eighth straight Olympic gold medal in women’s basketball was my favorite that level of dominance for that long of time over the rest of the world is unheard of I’m a track girly so I got to go with Sydney McLaughlin ronei she ran 50.37951 record that .37 shout out to the track girls you did it big this year it is so hard to pick just one favorite moment from women’s sports this year because it’s been a phenomenal run but it’s got to be the WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix we had a blast and the cherry on top of the occasion was the performance of arque a goba W team WNBA got the win she had zero points in the first half 21 points in the third quarter finished with a WNBA All-Star record 34 points arque was on fire
