I’m here at the Toronto International Film Festival on the red carpet for forel’s new documentary which is told entirely through Lego pieces it just makes it Universal you know if if I am just literally you know a black man in America um from a marginalized Community there are some people who want to see that and some people who don’t and I didn’t want to tell a story that’s like poverty porn you know that’s like that’s like a usual Hollywood trope and that’s not what this is this is not Hollywood this is humanity and I think Lego really helps to uh universalize the story so that it can be received by anyone that comes from a marginalized community
