with Mike he’s such an intrical part of the fabric of New York Sports New York period Mike what do you remember about meeting Alex Rodriguez you know Mike and the MOG show had already started before aod came up but A-Rod was a very Savvy player even when he was in Seattle and he actually came and visited our show at spring training one time and we were like completely mystified and surprised because that’s very unusual for an out of town player especially a young one to kind of seek us out and he came and introduced himself to us and we were like shocked by that and he came on the show and then he had a habit of coming on the show a lot and then obviously as the years went on he and I developed the Friendship then eventually obviously his career led to the Yankees after the stint in Texas and all those years he would be a visitor on the show a couple of times a year he’d be a guest and obviously when he came to New York it it blossomed from there and we’ve always maintained a close relationship
