the inspiration behind my project
there’s a lagoon in my
backyard and it’s home to over 4,300
species of plants animals Mass amounts
of algae they’re covering the surface of
the Lagoon sunlight can’t get through it
so basically all of our aquatic plants
die seeing how bad has gotten from when
I was like 10 years old to now it’s just
like really upsetting so this year I
created three different methods to
reduce algae growth the First with
chemicals the second with oyster mats
and the third with live clams all three
were incredibly successful reducing
algae
concentrations the methods that I
develop wouldn’t just work in my Lagoon
in Florida they would work anywhere that
has a similar problem restoring a
Natural Balance and allowing underwater
biomes all around the world to thrive
