Syrian President Assad Toppled After Rebel Advance πŸ˜‡

the government of President Bashar Al Assad has fallen this follows on from several days of Rapid advances by Rebel troops led by sham into Syria’s largest cities and finally into the capital Damascus it ends over 50 years of the Assad family rule during which political descent was not tolerated and thousands of political prisoners were locked up Bashar Al Assad suffered a setback during the 2011 Arab Spring political Uprising as protesters took to the streets as Assad responded with brutal crackdowns a civil unest escalated into a multifaceted war between various domestic armed groups and extremist factions but Russia and Iranian proxies including Hezbollah Fighters came to Assad’s rescue this helped him preserve power and regain parts of the country that had been lost to Rebel control in 2023 he was welcomed back into the Arab League after more than a decade of isolation this time around as Rebel groups Advanced there was Little Resistance from the Syrian National Army and there are reports that Assad has fled the country while there have been scenes of Jubilation across major cities in Syria what happens next is a big unknown different Rebel factions may wrestle for control some whose Origins were affiliated with alqaeda within the broader region it constitutes another blow to Iran’s AIS of allies and is yet another country ravaged by a decades long War which has left as many as 500,000 dead and has created at least 6.4 million refugees according to un agencies
