describing these things as negotiating tactics I think it’s it’s selling uh short what the problems are we really do have some very serious and significant trade friction with our partners and those trade frictions can only be addressed either through the imposition of tariffs or really sitting down and having serious discussions with them and to get our get our trading partners to change their practices there has to be some leverage and tariffs would would be the leverage there aren’t necessarily clear existing Supply chains from elsewhere to make up for any uh that may cause if there are higher levies uh in place so how should we expect the impact ultimately if we are to see blanket uh tariffs of this kind in terms of what we will see in this country as a result I mean that’s absolutely right um if to the extent that there is no substitution effect whatsoever a possibility for sub we have to address these trade distortions and look Canada Mexico our closest trading partners are most relied upon trading partners which is why it becomes that much more problematic when a country like Mexico is allowing the exports of illegal feny to the United States or is allowing China to circumvent the import restrictions tariff measures we have in place to address their distortions by just building up plants in Mexico right so there are Partners we like them but yes we have serious problems that have to be addressed for the sake of the entire ecosystem the trading block
