tennis trims can be slightly confusing but don’t worry we got you covered right in time for the US Open first up Ace you know how in school everyone calls someone who excelled at everything an ace well in tennis Ace kind of has a similar meaning it’s when the ball is served so well that the opponent can’t even touch it with their racket next up fault very different from Ace fault is when a served ball doesn’t land in the proper service box then for scoring we start at love which means zero whoever wins a point next gets a score of 15 followed by 30 followed by 40 the point after that is the winning point if both players are at a score of 40 we have a tie which in tennis language is a Duce to win a player then has to score two consecutive points you’re right to be confused if you’re thinking why does it go from 15 to 30 to 40 and not 45 Theory suggests it has something to do with how clocks were used to keep score in the olden days but I think I’ve taught you enough and now you can enjoy some tennis if you can get past the notson scoring system
