The Presidential election could come down to North Carolina #politics 🀩

video
play-rounded-fill

North Carolina is one of seven states likely to decide the presidential election but with more than 500,000 people moving to the state in the past 4 years it’s going to be a very different elector than the one that delivered Donald Trump his narrowest victory in 2020 it’s hard to predict whether these newcomers will vote for Trump or kamla Harris More Than 234,000 People moved to counties that Joe Biden won in 2020 but even more than that 277,000 people moved to counties that Trump went but if you look closer some of the fast growing counties are those surrounding Raleigh and Charlotte so the question is whether they’ll vote like the rural counties they used to be or more like these Democratic leaning Metro areas a great example of this is Johnston County southeast of Raleigh where Suburban neighborhoods are expanding and two of the top employers are pharmaceutical companies Democrats are not counting on Flipping all of these counties blue but if they condem Trump’s margins it could be enough to deliver North Carolina 16 Electoral College votes for Harris Republicans are doubling down on their defensive strategy not just for this election but for the political future of this rapidly changing Southern State
