using Tik Tok well by January the 19th you might not be able to in the United States more than half Americans use the social media app but it looks as though that new law coming into effect is going to force it to be banned or sold by its parent company bike dance a ginese company this is after a DC Court ruled unanimously to uphold the law and so now Tik Tok potentially can go to the Supreme Court to ask for it to change course but according to Bloomberg intelligence only a 20% probability that that will happen it’s likely going to lose the fight but what happens after January the 19th January the 20th you have a new Administration in the United States Trump who initially wanted to ban Tik Tok has kind of done a 180 and said in the past that he wouldn’t ban it because of well the effect it would have on competitors in the space most notably meta which owns Instagram remember so we’ll see whether he can indeed change the path of this law but again Bloomberg intelligence says that’s highly unlikely and what does this mean for social media competitors well meta is at a record high and we saw spikes in snap as well so look out for some of those other social media stocks
