Under the New Moon: Exploring Ninigret State Park in Rhode Island
LBW [Little Blaze Within] Moment:
As the sky turned into a canvas of dark night, the team embarked on an adventure at Ninigret State Park in Charlestown, Rhode Island. The full moon refused to shine its light this time, providing the ultimate setting for our photography journey: the new moon.
Within the park, the sound of crickets, chipmunks, and raccoons could be heard mingling with the whispers of the wind as the nighttime took over the scenery of the park.
Our task was to snap pictures through the darkness under the bright stars, relying solely on the light coming from outside. The mission: not to miss this extraordinary photogenic moment by utilizing nothing but the ambiance created naturally.
Exquisite Skies:
Captivated by the velvety blackness above, **we set about clicking these magical moments where our shadows became one with the silhouette of the silvery full moon. No man has ever seen light. As we gazed, through the lens at these inky black colors with shades of indigo and darker hues, every fiber
of our collective existence whispered to us through our photographic lenses, for that
was the reality.
Of the park is its sheer size, making us small and insignificant
against vast, star studded canvases. When
at night, nothing more stands out than an occasional branch, a
small island of green under an enormous black of night sky wherewe could see many shootingstars and a little crescent moon.
- A couple of hours earlier the entire park was shrouded in darkness except
As we ventured farther away through the darkness in a trail
- Many small green lights of some animals on the path appeared
- we would soon encounter countless more
And at all times, not knowing from where, something that went
ticking sounds, and manycrickets and toads chirruped their musical harmonium.
